What’s Involved in Trenchless Sewer Line Repair?
Trenchless sewer repairs and replacements involve the following:
We use specialized tools, including high-definition infrared plumbing inspection cameras and acoustic listening gear, to detect the source of the problem.
If the source of the issue is a clog or blockage, a full replacement may not be necessary. Hydro jetting involves using highly pressured water jets to clear away buildups of debris and other materials blocking the sewer line.
Pipe lining fixes cracks, misalignments, and breaks in sewer lines. We’ll insert a resin liner into the damaged pipe and it will harden into a new inner layer. Liners are durable, waterproof, and resist root intrusion.
We drill two holes, one at each end of the sewer line. Our team inserts a hydraulic tool through one hole. It pushes through the damaged pipe while simultaneously pulling the new pipe into place. The old pipe exits through the opposite hole.
When Is Trenchless Sewer Replacement Necessary?
Trenchless sewer line replacements and repairs minimize the disruption to the surrounding landscape. Compared to traditional methods requiring substantial excavation, soil conditions and grading are less critical factors. However, changing your yard’s grading can affect your neighbour’s property drainage if they’re in close proximity to you.
