Signs You Need Water Service Upgrade

• Low Water Pressure — Low water pressure could mean that there’s build-up in your pipes making it difficult for water to get through. This increases the risk of leaks and water damage occurring.
• Leaky Pipes — If you notice any water spots on your ceiling and walls or hear a constant dripping noise, chances are your pipes are leaking. Left unchecked, this could cause major damage and require extensive repairs.
• Discoloured Water — The three reasons why your water is discoloured are rust, corrosion, and mineral build-up. This could mean that harmful chemicals are leaking into the water supply.

Many houses have water lines with a diameter of ½” which may cause too much friction due to its smaller size, reducing water pressure. We can upgrade the diameter of your water line to a more optimal size of ¾”, which would improve the circulation of water. Water lines with diameters of 1” or larger are also available.

Lead pipes were banned in Toronto because they can corrode over time, allowing lead to leach into the water supply. This can contaminate drinking water and pose serious health risks. If your home still has lead pipes, they should be replaced as soon as possible.

As well, it is important to note that if the city is conducting repairs or replacements to public water lines, you are still responsible for your private side of the water line.
